Sewing Machine Repair

Our in-house service department is an important factor in choosing to purchase your machine at The Quilting Bee. One concern when purchasing a sewing, embroidery or quilting machine is what to do for service or a needed repair. If you buy a machine online or from a dealer without certified techs in-house you may have to deal with the hassle of shipping it to the manufacturer and then waiting weeks for its return.  Or, you could risk voiding your warranty if you take the machine to a technician that is not factory authorized.  We are the only factory authorized repair facility in the region for Bernina, Janome, Baby Lock, Pfaff, Brother and Bernette machines.

Phone Order Option

We know it’s difficult parting with your machine. So, you can opt to keep your machine at home until it comes up in our queue. We make it easy. Just call in at (509) 928-6037, give us your name, machine make/model and contact information. We will contact you when your machine is coming up in our queue. Then just drop it off and it will be ready for you in a few days. Note, if we have to order parts it could take longer.

Common Questions

What is the Standard Repair Time?

Due to high volume at this time of year standard repair time is currently 14-21 days. For customers coming from out of town we offer same-day service for an additional fee. Same-day service must be arranged with the Tech Department in advance, please call 509-928-6037.

Where is the service performed?

All service is performed in-house by factory authorized certified technicians to provide the most effective and efficient repair of your serger, sewing, quilting or embroidery machine.

What makes and models of sewing machines do you service?

We have the only certified technicians for Bernina, Janome, Baby Lock, Pfaff, Brother and Bernette machines in the region. We can gladly take in any domestic machine, multi-needle embroidery machine or Long-Arm for a COA (clean, oil, adjust) and for many machines we can get repair parts if anything needs replacement.  Occasionally, we are not able to perform repair work on older or off-brand machines due to an inability to attain parts. If you suspect your machine needs more than just a ‘day at the spa’, please call first and speak with one of our techs; David, Greg, James, Jason or Grace to determine if we can meet your needs!  Unfortunately we do not service industrial/commercial sewing machines.  We also can pick-up and deliver multi-needle and Long-Arm machines for an extra charge.

Don’t struggle with dull scissors. Drop them off as well and we will sharpen them for you!  $8.95 per pair and up.
